Because it's a laptop from my employee I cannot get into recovery mode (its secured with a password) and disable SIP to use SwitchResX to make a 5120x1440圆0hz resolution. I tried downloading ( ) but that doesn't give me the option of 1080p HDPiįrom what I've read I should be able to scale my resolution down to 1080p but send a 1440p resolution image to my monitor so everything looks crisp. In clamshell mode I only can select 5120x1440 from using software like ResXtreme, SwitchResX or DisableMonitor. 2015 Macbook Pro Retina have the ability to output 4k 60Hz at least one: Using 4K displays and Ultra HD TVs with Mac computers - Apple Support. I've had a look at some fixes such as setting the scaled resolution in display settings, but 1920x1080 never becomes available (even when option clicking scale). The scale of the UI is tiny compared to the other monitors. I also tried to use SwitchResX which didn't help either. It only shows 2560x1600 as max resolution when connecting with either HDMI (which should do 4k30Hz) or DisplayPort via USB-C-(+Power-Delivery)-Adapter (which should do 4k60Hz). Now I'm back working from home I am on the triple setup however the main panel (1440p) is really starting to cause me serious eye strain. I am having difficulties getting my Xiaomi Notebook Pro to run with the HP Envy 27s at 4k. I previously used this setup with 3x1080p monitors to great avail.
When I'm not on my gaming computer I have a Dell D6000 that connects my 2018 Macbook Pro to my 3 monitors. I recently upgrade my main monitor to a 1440p 165Hz beast.
